Purpose for processing your data

We only collect Data about you on the website which you volunteer when you e-mail us or by using our Enquiry Form. We may collect and process the following data about you;

  • Your Name;
  • Your E-mail Address;
  • The time and date of your visit;
  • Information that you provide by filling in our Enquiry Form on our website. This includes information provided at the time of requesting information from us.

This information will only be used by us a) for the purpose for which it was provided by you b) for verification purposes and c) statistical analysis, marketing and administration purposes.

Why are we processing your data? Our legal basis

There are a number of reasons for which Killaghy Castle collects information about you. Killaghy Castle collects personal data about you that relates to your self-catering reservation.   • Contact Data includes your address, email address and telephone number/mobile number
  • Transaction Data includes details of products/services you have purchased from Killaghy Castle, VRBO, AirBnB, Five Star and Trip Advisor.
  • Financial Data includes your payment details, during the booking process.
  • Usage Data includes information about how you use the website, products and services.
  • Communication Data includes your contact details for receiving communication relating to your booking, your self-catering reviews and any other correspondence relating to your reservations.
  • Cookie Data including tracking technologies in order to analyse traffic and for advertisement purposes. Please note, that you will need provide consent, to receive this information.

Killaghy Castle also collects and uses aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.

In any event, Killaghy Castle are committed to ensuring that the information we collect and use is appropriate for this purpose, and does not constitute an invasion of your privacy.

How will Killaghy Castle use the personal data it collects about me?

The main reason why Killaghy Castle collects and uses your personal data is to administer your online self-catering reservation. Killaghy Castle relies on the legal basis that the processing of the personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract, specifically to finalise and administer your reservation.

Killaghy Castle will process (collect, store and use) the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary.

Who are sharing your data with?

In order to complete your self-catering reservation, we review the reservation details you have provided. This can include your name, contact details, the name of the guests travelling with you and any preferences or other information you specified when you made your reservation.

Third-party service providers: We use service providers to process your personal data on our behalf. This processing is for several purposes, such as marketing, finance, IT and management. We use marketing/advertising providers in order to process data. We use IT service providers in order to store and process personal data. We use payment providers in order to process payments. From time to time, we also use third party professionals such as accountants, solicitors, consultants and advisors. Where these companies/individuals have access to personal information, they are subject to appropriate contracts.

Any third parties that we may share your data with are obliged to keep your details securely, and to use them only to fulfil the service they provide on your behalf. When they no longer need your data to fulfil this service, they will dispose of the details in line with Killaghy Castle procedures.

If we wish to pass your sensitive personal data onto a third party we will only do so once we have obtained your explicit consent, unless we are legally required to do otherwise.
